Possessed and Curse LP news and info
Ritual Productions are preparing to release a double whammy of Ramesses collectibles on wax. This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that they will be supporting EyeHateGod in August.
The acclaimed album, Take the Curse will be released on 180 gram black vinyl, silver foiled gatefold packaging and will include an A2 full colour poster and 12inch shaped sticker insert. The release will also include a bonus 7inch with 2 unreleased live tracks from Roadburn 2011. Bonus tracks are ‘Take the Curse’ and ‘Terrasaw’.
This will be followed closely by the extra special vinyl version of Possessed By The Rise Of Magik which features remixes by Justin Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu/Greymachine/
“It was with great pleasure that I mixed the Ram album, they’re my favourite dooooom band; not afraid to take chances, and not afraid to let the dope do the talking…psychedelic warlords.”
His remixes enhance the audio with his uniquely dark and affecting musical perspective whilst maintaining the true essence of the original recordings. The way remixes should be. All in all, supremely magik. Do we really need to say both Ritual Productions and Ramesses are extremely pleased with the result? Possessed… will also be released as a deluxe red foiled gatefold and there are 800 copies of 180 gram black vinyl and 200 copies of 180 gram clear red vinyl.
Both records will be unleashed on vinyl in June.
The first 75 orders for each record through Ritual website will also receive: one Ritual Productions/RamSS black tote bag plus one set of three foil vinyl stickers.
Finally, here is a reminder of the tour dates in August and details of their appearance at Incubate:
7 August – The Fleece, Bristol with EyeHateGod and Dopefight
8 August – Academy 3, Manchester with EyeHateGod and Dopefight
9 August – The Garage, London with EyeHateGod and Dopefight

Ritual Productions arises and ‘Take The Curse’ Pre-Sale info
Welcome to the new Ritual Productions website, and for those that don’t yet know, we are a new record label based in London and see the production of CDs, LPs, DVDs, etc as an artistic process which deserves due care and attention, so we aim to release quality products you will feel proud to own.
Our first release will be by harbingers of psychedelic doom Ramesses with their second full length album ‘Take the Curse’ and will feature 10 tracks along with cover artwork from the stunning sculpture ‘Fucking Hell’ by the internationally renowned artists Jake and Dinos Chapman.
Expect ‘Take The Curse’ to be a shattering expression of cruelty where Ramesses’ bleak sound finds an accurate counterpart in the Chapmans’ grand vision of suffering. In nauseating detail, the music and the artwork dredge the turpitude of humanity and explore the utter horror of possibility. Prepare to be engulfed by torrential riffing!
Ritual Productions will exclusively start pre-sales for ‘Take the Curse’ CDs through our store on Wednesday April 7th 2010, and shipping will start from Monday April 19th 2010, but the street date and official release date is scheduled for June 2010. We remind you that the first 200 orders through Ritual Productions will also receive a limited edition art card set, featuring the two alternative covers from ‘Take the Curse’.
For further information and if you have any questions or enquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our contact page.
Expect the unexpected, thrive on chaos!
